Suite Room
The Suite Room offers maximum comfort and privacy, ideal for guests who want a quieter, more refined space to relax.
This room is perfect for couples and families and includes a double bed, air conditioning and a private en suite bathroom. Carefully styled with attention to detail, it provides a comfortable retreat with added touches to enhance your stay. Bed linen and towels are included.
Friends Room
Designed for shared stays, the Friends Room is a great option for friends or families travelling together.
Rooms can be set up with either a double bed or two single beds, with the option to add an extra bed if needed. Each room has air conditioning, a private bathroom and thoughtful finishing touches, creating a relaxed and practical space for group stays. Bed linen and towels are included.
Family Room
The Family Room offers extra space and flexibility, making it well suited to families or small groups who want a more independent setup.

Located in Moya, on the island’s northern coast, the camp sits close to excellent surf spots, hiking trails, canyons and dive sites, making it an ideal base for an active yet balanced stay.

Daily yoga and surf sessions sit alongside optional island adventures, guided trails and relaxed picnics, giving you the chance to explore beyond the coast and discover quieter corners of the island. Open daily from 9am to 11pm and open to the public, it’s a place to eat well, unwind and enjoy Canarian hospitality.
Gran Canaria is known for its consistent surf and variety of breaks. Thanks to the island’s shape and exposure, it’s possible to find waves in different conditions throughout the year. Sessions can be adapted to suit swell, wind and ability, making it a reliable destination for surfers of all levels.
Board Rentals
Surfboards are available to rent for guests who want to surf independently or add extra sessions outside of lessons. A range of boards is offered to suit different abilities and conditions, making it easy to stay flexible and surf when the conditions line up.
Beyond surfing, Gran Canaria offers a wide range of experiences. From hiking through ravines and mountains to exploring traditional villages, coastal paths and local markets, the island’s diversity makes it easy to mix surf days with adventure and exploration.
The camp is located in Moya, on the northern side of Gran Canaria. This area is greener, quieter and more traditional than the south of the island, with dramatic coastlines, volcanic landscapes and a strong local feel. It’s an ideal base for guests who want a calmer atmosphere while staying close to surf, nature and outdoor activities.
Transfers can be arranged to and from the camp to make arrival easy and stress-free. Whether you’re coming from Gran Canaria Airport or moving around the island during your stay, transport options can be organised in advance so you can focus on enjoying your time on the island.
Surfing at Outer Reef Gran Canaria is designed to be relaxed, accessible and enjoyable for all ages and abilities. With consistent year-round waves, warm water and easy access to nearby beaches, the island offers ideal conditions to learn, progress or simply enjoy time in the ocean. Our surf coaching and guiding focuses on small groups, supportive instruction and making the most of Gran Canaria’s surf friendly setting.
Surf sessions in Gran Canaria are designed to be accessible, enjoyable and well structured, making them suitable for beginners, improvers and families surfing together. With consistent waves year round, warm water and easy access to multiple breaks, Gran Canaria, and particularly Las Palmas, is often considered a true surf city.
Sessions last 120 minutes and include transport from the camp to the beach. Surfing takes place mainly at nearby beach breaks such as Playa de La Cícer and Playa de La Laja, both around 10 minutes by car from the camp. Conditions are well suited to learning and progression, with water temperatures averaging 20-23°C.
Groups are kept manageable with a maximum ratio of one instructor to eight students, ensuring clear guidance, safety and plenty of time in the water.
Surf sessions are led by experienced instructors who are used to teaching a wide range of ages and abilities. Their approach is calm, supportive and family-friendly, helping everyone feel comfortable and confident in the water.
To enhance the quality of coaching, the camp also collaborates with local surf schools, allowing for more personalised attention and a deeper connection to Gran Canaria’s surf culture.
Progression is built around confidence and enjoyment. Coaching covers surf safety and etiquette, understanding the surf area and entry points, and developing core techniques such as paddling, standing up, balancing correctly and catching waves consistently.
Support is ongoing throughout your stay, with instructors adapting sessions to conditions and group needs so progress feels natural and enjoyable.
All surf sessions include the use of soft-top surfboards, as well as leashes and lycra rash vests. Transport to and from the surfing beach is also included, keeping everything simple and stress free.
BEGINNER SURFERIf you’re completely new to surfing, Gran Canaria is an easy place to start. Warm water, friendly beach breaks and a steady climate allow you to focus on learning without feeling rushed. Sessions are about getting comfortable in the ocean, understanding the basics and enjoying the experience from the very first wave.
INTERMEDIATE SURFERFor surfers who already have some time in the water and want to build confidence. This level suits those looking to surf more independently, improve timing and feel more in control on each wave, using Gran Canaria’s reliable conditions to practise and progress steadily.
