Uma Lira, a delightfully intimate bungalow nestled into the trees, with dynamic ocean/surf views out over the bay.

Uma Lira has a hardwood floor, twin bed, attached shower, and a private yoga deck/hammock lounge. There’s a central composting toilet 30 m. away.

It’s our smallest bungalow, suiting a single person or a cosy couple! (2 Max)

UMA MADU

A mid size deluxe bungalow with a beautiful ocean view. One King bed and one single.

En suite shower and dry composting toilet, hardwood floor, attached yoga/sun lounge pavilion. (2-3 Max).

This bungalow is quite tucked away in its nook of the retreat and tends to be a honeymooners favourite!

UMA OMA

A mid size deluxe bungalow with a beautiful ocean view. One King bed and one single.

UMA NGEDO

Possibly the coolest bungalow at Ngaung Kalla this deluxe, traditional style Sumba house shares view of the surf, the beach, and the valley!

It features an en suite shower and dry composting toilet, plus a starlight outdoor shower.

This bungalow has a beautiful mahogany hardwood floor and sleeps 3-4 downstairs in a queen and 2-3 twin beds and 1-2 upstairs in the loft.

This is a traditional Sumbanese house with an open floor plan but not a lot of privacy within the room.
Great air flow, views, location and live-ability. (4-6 Max)

Surf Coaching & Guiding

The home break is a perfect right-hander reeling off for 100m over reef. It varies in intensity according to size, and can be perfect for learners and lessons when small, but challenging for even the most astute barrel maestros when the surf is on. Our two dinghy boats take you to the wave out front all day, as well as to neighbouring beaches.

Short Course

A 2-hour group lesson (1.5 hours in the water plus 30 minutes of theory). A great introduction to surfing, or a refresher if you want to build confidence before practising on your own.

Basic Course

Five group surf lessons, totalling 10 hours of coaching. Designed to build strong foundations, helping you stand up consistently, catch waves and progress safely while having fun.

Private Course

A 2-hour private lesson (1.5 hours in the water plus 30 minutes of theory). Ideal if you want focused coaching tailored to your pace, ability and goals.

Free Surf

For confident, independent surfers who prefer to surf unguided. This option offers complete freedom to explore the waves on your own schedule. Surfboards are available to rent.

Board Rental

Surfboards are available to rent at the camp, making it easy to join lessons, free surf sessions or extend your time in the water without travelling with equipment.

Yoga & Movement Sessions

We have several yoga spaces, and, depending on the teachers available, an array of yoga styles to choose from. Professional, full-body massages are also available several days a week.

Airport Transfers

Transfers can be arranged to make arrival and departure straight forward and stress-free.
