Oceanview Surf Camp
Built into the cliffside, Outer Reef blends contemporary design with traditional Balinese touches. Accommodation ranges from shared dorms to private suites, offering comfort and flexibility. Relax on the terrace with sofas and loungers after a surf session, or take a refreshing swim in the infinity pool, which overlooks lush rainforest and the sparkling Indian Ocean.

Balinese bungalows, modern dorms or luxurious suites
Stay in typical Balinese bungalows, modern dorms, or luxurious suites. Moreover, you can enjoy the beautiful gardens and the stunning infinity pool perched on a clifftop overlooking the beach. All rooms have air-conditioning and are mosquito-safe, we have plenty of common areas for you to relax in post surfing or meet fellow travellers.
SURF GUIDING
Surf guiding at Padang Padang
Surf guiding is included in your stay at our Green Bowl surf camp. With some of Bali’s most iconic breaks right on the Bukit Peninsula, sessions are planned around local conditions rather than fixed schedules. Depending on swell, wind, and tide, we surf nearby reef breaks as well as other spots along the coastline.
Groups are kept small, and sessions are matched to experience level so everyone can surf waves that suit their ability. Beginners can build a solid foundation through our structured learn-to-surf program, while more experienced surfers focus on progression at more challenging breaks.
The surf guides
Our surf guides know Padang Padang and the surrounding Bukit coast inside out. They surf alongside you, offering practical tips in the water and helping you read the lineup, timing, and reef. Safety is always a priority, and the guides are familiar with local conditions, entry and exit points, and how each spot works on different swells. When conditions allow, sessions may include lesser-known breaks away from the crowds.
Daily routine
Surf sessions are planned day by day based on conditions. You can sign up in advance using our digital surf planner, and the surf team is always available to help you choose the right sessions and spots for your level and goals.
Theory sessions & video analysis
Selected surf sessions are filmed and reviewed to help you understand technique, positioning, and wave selection. In addition, several theory sessions are offered each week, covering essential surf knowledge. Participation is optional, and all sessions are included in your package.
Board rental
Traveling with boards can be a hassle, so we offer a range of surfboards at the camp, including shortboards, funshapes, mini malibus, and beginner longboards. Boards are available for different conditions and skill levels. Leashes and rash guards are included. Any damage or lost equipment must be covered by the renter.
Surfboard insurance
Optional surfboard insurance covers repair costs for anything from small dings to major damage over one to three weeks. Lost boards or missing parts are not covered.
BEGINNER SURFER
These spots are easy to reach and provide a relaxed setting to build confidence in the water. For those starting from scratch, a dedicated learn-to-surf program is available, designed to guide beginners through the basics at a comfortable pace.
INTERMEDIATE SURFER
So a mix of reef breaks and semi-beach breaks in the area offers plenty of inspiration for intermediate surfers. With consistent conditions close by, there’s room to push your limits and refine your skills throughout your stay. For those ready to explore further, some of Bali’s more remote and well-known breaks provide an added challenge and a chance to progress even more.
ADVANCED SURFER
A mix of reef breaks and semi-beach breaks in the area offers plenty of inspiration for intermediate surfers. With consistent conditions close by, there’s room to push your limits and refine your skills throughout your stay. For those ready to explore further, some of Bali’s more remote and well-known breaks provide an added challenge and a chance to progress even more.
